A ship depot(wharf with a length of 150m and width of 8m as well as storage facilities) capable of accommodating 2 major vessels has been constructed at shiljeonli Hacheong-myeon Geojae city Kyeongnam Province. It is equipped with a reserve cable drum with a capacity to store up to 2,000km of cable.

    The kt submarine ship depot completed construction on August 14 2000, and from early August 2001 capabilities have been improved for the best storage conditions for transponders, transfer device, and other standby equipment.

    The Geojae Wharf was constructed to provide optimal storage conditions for transponders, transfer devices, cable closure housing, and submarine equipments. Detailed functions are as follows.
    1. 1) a facility storing each submarine equipment at the optimal condition.
    2. 2) a facility that can maintain quick transportation of submarine equipment from the    wharf to the cable vessel.
    3. 3) Comprehensive insurance for equipment and cable currently in storage.
    4. 4) Reserve equipment supplementation system in case of MA(Maintenance Authorities) requests.

    To maintain optimal storage conditions to enable maintenance of each system and management so that there are no problems with equipment usage.
